Coming soon: one of the biggest indoor market halls in Berlin! From fruit and vegetables to exotic dishes – every foodie will find something to tempt their taste buds here. With fresh, regional and organic produce displayed on the market stalls and mouthwatering variety being cooked up in the kitchens, it is set to become a true foodie paradise. Visitors will be enticed by the permanent, flexible and seasonal market stalls, as well as all-year-round events.
Highlights will include freshly harvested products and honey from the rooftop bees.
With over 100 modern stores, showrooms and promotional stands to choose from, shoppers will be in their element here. Choose from a variety of restaurants and cafés – the perfect place to meet friends and while away the time. Open, light-filled architecture creates an inviting, feel-good atmosphere. From a supermarket to a fashion show or a market stall to a yoga course, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for. The Märkisches Quartier is the place to be.
Construction of a new residential high-rise with 360 ultra-modern apartments is well underway in the middle of the MÄRKISCHES QUARTIER.
With open-plan and light-suffused rooms with their own balcony or loggia, the highest residential building in the whole of the Märkisches Viertel offers residents impressive vistas over the north of Berlin, all the way to Alexanderplatz – breathtaking sunrises and sunsets included.
A rooftop bar, kid’s play areas, a lounge, an urban gardening farm, park benches under trees and even beehives on one of Berlin’s biggest rooftop gardens are redefining the urban quality of life.
From space for the children from the adjoining daycare facility to let off steam to a separate lounge for the centre’s employees to relax in, or neighbourhood barbecues on balmy summer evenings – there’s something for everyone on the huge rooftop garden.
From market square to the new fountain plaza: surrounded by a swimming pool, church and culture centre, the new fountain will become the epicentre of the newly landscaped and central city square.
The modern, spacious design and variety of al fresco dining offers will turn it into a real leisure hotspot and the meeting place in the Märkisches Viertel neighbourhood.
The office spaces are located directly below the rooftop garden and can be individually and flexibly designed in terms of their size and features, regardless of what kind of business idea you have in mind.
Surrounded by eateries, the indoor market hall, shops and the Brunnenplatz square, they offer everything you could possibly need or want: from a business lunch to an after-work party, networking to collaboration, co-working to start-ups – it’s all here.
From GPs to dentists – over 50 practising physicians from a wide variety of medical fields are based in the Märkisches Quartier’s health centre. The infrastructure surrounding the health centre is well developed: pharmacies, convalescent care, medical supply store, opticians and hearing care specialists complement the extensive medical offer that will attract patients and visitors from across the whole of Berlin.
As well as direct access via the multi-storey car park, the pick-up and drop-off options for patient transport, taxi rank and convenient public transportation links all connect the Märkisches Quartier with the rest of the city.
Whether family van, electric car, SUV or bicycle: the new multi-storey car park is tailored to new mobility concepts. It boasts a modern parking guidance system and even offers services such as car valeting and cleaning. The car park offers direct access to the indoor market, shopping arcades, health centre and the new Brunnenplatz square.
The Märkisches Zentrum was the biggest shopping centre in the north of Berlin and the hub and market square of the entire Märkisches Quartier and beyond. Built in the 1960s, the shopping centre has its best years behind it and is now undergoing extensive renovations. Say hello to the new MÄRKISCHES QUARTIER!
The modern and future-oriented concept includes a large-scale transformation from a shopping centre to a multifunctional and flexible mixed-use destination.
A concept that is not only upgrading the micro-location itself, but also awakening an enthusiasm for the entire north of Berlin beyond the entire “kiez”, or neighbourhood, and the district of Reinickendorf.
An established destination – which has already developed a solid structure with its former market square, sport and culture offers and shopping and health centre – is now being extended and upgraded to create the MÄRKISCHES QUARTIER. The new Brunnenplatz square outside and the new market hall inside will become the heart of the new quarter, surrounded by new apartments, cafés and restaurants, a park, retail and office spaces, a rooftop garden and extended medical practices.
